Features of the WebCPG article maker are self-descriptive. However:
1. Option "Search files" checks number and types of files in source directory and subdirectories of the directory. Article Maker may seem to be frozen while working. This is normal. The program is not suspended and working fine. This effect is only visible for big numbers of files higher than several thousand - estimated normal time is about 10-30 seconds for over 50 000 files.
2. Progress bar starts to work for number of total files greater than 1000.
The range on the progress bar is real - the end 100% is reached only at the
end of the extraction process.
3. If the cut-off strings in 'Fast Option' ( up 100 characters
length ) - contain HTML tags, the tags should be closed with the '<' and
'>' characters.
For example, the string 2"><br> is improper
whereas, <font
size="2"><br> should be used as the cut-off string,
because HTML tags must be closed with < and > characters.
4.'Fast Option' can extract content over 6
times faster than the normal extractor engine.
5. The maxim length of keywords or words to be excluded is 100 characters.
6. HTML/HTM/PHP files for extraction do not always have proper HTML
semantics, so it is possible in some cases to find unnecessary characters
and empty lines from the original files.
7. The range of source files taken for extraction are from 200 up to
200 000 bytes. Resulting file will be saved if its size is equal or greater
than 60 bytes.
